Automatic Debit Authorization Form Sign up for the easy and convenient automatic debit to ensure your payments are made on time. Simply complete the authorization form and return to Sallie Mae.
Education Related Deferment For borrowers engaged in a graduate fellowship program, rehabilitation training, internship or residency, or teaching in a teacher shortage area.
Economic Hardship Deferment For borrowers who are experiencing financial hardship.
In-School Deferment For students who are enrolled at an eligible school at least half time.
Military Service Deferment/Post-Active Duty Student Deferment For borrowers while actively serving in the military.
Parent PLUS Borrower Deferment For parent borrowers to defer repayment while the student is enrolled in school at least half time.
Parental Leave/Working Mother Deferment For borrowers while on parental leave or as a working mother.

Voluntary Forbearance For borrowers who do not qualify for deferment but need temporary payment relief.
