limited time to eligible borrowers from January through June 30, 2012.
Special Direct Consolidation Loan Information
January through June 30, 2012 - The U.S. Department of Education
will offer a Special Direct Loan Consolidation opportunity.
- Not everyone will qualify. Beginning in January 2012 one of the federal loan servicers
will contact student loan borrowers who qualify and provide application instructions.
- Borrowers should wait for eligibility notification and application instructions.
- After receiving instructions, borrowers interested in applying for a Special Direct
Consolidation Loan will apply using a new online process.

- Sallie Mae provides a weekly report to schools for this initiative. Schools may
obtain the Special Direct Consolidation Loan (SDCL) Eligible Borrowers by School
report (EINWSDL902) from ASG-DocumentDirect® for
